Artists Statement
- Dawn McKelvy, a Texas Artist
- Houston, Texas, United States
- I paint with oils, watercolors, I draw with charcoal, figures, faces, and such. I find beauty in the smallest areas of the face, and the most simple movement or gesture of the figure. Memories, thoughts, and feelings, are all a part of my work. I carry in my wallet a small drawing by my Mom, and a last letter from my Father - telling me to be sure to keep up my art. And I am.

Beautiful, Dawn.
This makes you think - I thought of a Maddona, a peacock and Mother Theresa - and suddenly I saw the absolutely huge daisy at the bottom! Definitely something different for you, Dawn, but as you know, charcoals are my favorite's and the latest one of 'Nanny's Hat'. ALR
